Flashback to the 90s With These Iconic Memes That Tickle Our Nostalgia Bone (July 26, 2025)
I love the 90s. I remember growing up on MTV and VH1, watching three hours of music videos, interviews, and hilarious edits to encompass the hits of an entire decade. VH1 in particular would have these hours straight episodes of music video clips, and would have people describing the artist, background, and video. I remember watching it late at night in my bedroom on my tiny TV that was always static-y no matter how much I hit it.
What exactly do we miss about the 90s? Is it solely the fashion? The use of leather, cheetah print, platform shoes, and butterfly clips? Was it the economy? That any job could actually support a living wage? Was it the cultural renovations of grunge and self deprecating music?
Regardless of what brings you to reminisce about the 90s, you're off to a good start. Gen Z has nothing on the beauty of a phoneless world. They'll never understand the pleasure of imaginary games with friends, and they won't know how it feels to grow up without obsessing over your appearance.
