Have you ever watched an animated movie, and you're sitting there, enjoying yourself, and then one of the worst, most terrifying-looking animal comes onto the screen and you feel like you've fallen into a different dimension? Well, twitter users are going through this existential crisis today, and we think it's so funny.

For some reason, movie animators have a tendency to try to make animals look more "attractive" or more "realistic" by giving them human features, and they always miss their goal by a mile and a half. And give us nightmares in the process. At least these animated animals are funny to laugh at though.

This is what nightmares are made of. The forward-looking eyes, the hyper-realistic eyelashes, the attempt to make the nose look more human, the necklace - omg why - trying so hard to make them look more attractive. Why would you do this to these poor little beings?

This... looks too much like a weird mashup between an actual human face and an animation. We can't tell if this is real, couldn't find the source, but good god, we hope this is fake. No wonder we're a bunch of walking mildly traumatized adults if this is what our brains were exposed to as children.
