Move over, Lady Dimitrescu. There's a new waifu in town. That's right - the internet is now collectively simping for 'Samsung Girl' aka 'Samsung Sam'.
About a week ago, Lightfarm (a Brazilian visual arts production house) shared some 3D renderings of an anime-esque virtual assistant dressed in a black Samsung Galaxy shirt and making cute poses with some of the company's many devices. As with any female character (or even inanimate object) that becomes popular on the internet, memers and Rule 34 artists quickly had their way with Sam - to the point where Lightfarm actually removed their original posts.
Samsung has not acknowledged the character since she went viral, but that hasn't stopped people from theorizing that it is a genius ploy that separates the electronics company from competitors such as Apple. Judging by the sheer volume of memes and horny fan art dedicated to the big-eyed unofficial mascot, Samsung's getting a whole lot of PR, whether they planned this or not. We've put together some of our favorites of the seemingly unending supply of Sam memes, but if you're looking for something a bit saucier, we recommend visiting Know Your Meme or r/SamsungGirlr34. Yes, there's now an entire subreddit dedicated to dirty photos and cosplays of the character. Have fun?
