This person was put in the awkward situation of being asked to traffic a mystery package for their friend. When they asked them "what's in this thing," that friend got all up in arms abut their right to privacy, and started throwing a fit. This in turn led OP to ask if they were in the right for demanding to know what was in the mystery box. The overwhelming consensus being "hell yeah man, who cares about your friend, don't travel with a mysterious box." It's hardly even worth having a discussion over.
It doesn't really matter who's asking. If someone demands that you mule a package for them internationally without letting you see what's inside there, that's just straight up stupid. Sounds like an awesome way to see a jail cell on the other side of the world. For another incredible request, here's the dad who got furious that his son needed permission to hold a gun.
