No matter where you live, you're going to have to deal with the occasional nuisance. For most of us, this probably takes the form of litter, noise complaints, or a nosy neighbor determined to accuse you of one of the two. For some people however, the problems can be a little larger —like a dangerous predator in your front yard, for instance. It's not everyday somebody finds themselves in a face off with an alligator, but that was exactly the case for an individual who has gone viral for his innovative catch and release method when faced with the animal outside his home.
In a video shared on Twitter, the man can be seen attempting to back up the alligator with a garbage can, before closing the lid on its head and upending the container once it is trapped inside. A follow up confirmed that he released the creature back to its natural habitat afterwards (as well as retrieving his property when the deed was done, of course). If that whole deal wasn't impressive enough, he carried out the whole encounter wearing a pair of stylish but not entirely practical Adidas slides.
Unsurprisingly, social media almost universally applauded the impressive feat, with many wondering if he'd come across a similar situation before. Someone buy this guy a plane ticket to Australia, they've got a new Crocodile Dundee.
