Font - My dog took care of me last night [Discussion] I have had my dog for about a year and a half and last night felt like the first time she was taking care of me and not vice versa. Late last night I was having a pretty bad panic attack. I couldn't stop shaking and it felt like my muscles were going to explode out of my body. In the past these attacks have usually lasted 5 min or less, but this one felt like it was going on for an eternity. After about 5 minutes from the distance I hear my p

Oh no! First of all we want to wish OP an easy recovery. Anxiety is no joke, but with supportive friends (and a supportive doggo) by your side, good vibes are imminent. There is nothing more heartwarming than feeling so loved by your dear pet.

Font - Orrery- · 21h I was reading a book the other night and a character I was really invested in died. I know it's pathetic but I was sobbing away and my wee girl jumped onto my chest, licked my face and kept butting me with her head. She wouldn't leave my side for hours. We don't deserve dogs

Dogs really just know. They know how to read our emotions and respond to them accordingly. How did we get so lucky? Do we even deserve dogs? So many unanswered questions, but for now we're just going to focus on more heartwarming instances of doggos taking care of their loved ones.

Font - kamelizann· 20h My guy got me through a serious depression. He didn't like it when I was having a bad day, but he was on the clock when he knew I was about to be destructive to myself. I had to fight him every step of the way. He'd bark at me if I opened the liquor cabinet. When I was drunk I had this habit of just doing whatever I could to hurt myself and he would do his best to physically restrain me from hurting myself. He'd position himself in ways that would have to hurt him first be

Font - WynterWarrior56 · 18h My boyfriend told me that sometimes l'll start panicking in my sleep, jerking around, whimpering or full on talking/moaning/making noises of distress. When I do that my dog almost climbs on top of me to restrain me a bit and assumably to calm me down. She'll crawl right over my chest. If I'm upset (especially if I'm crying but even just being sad in general) she'll jump up randomly and nibble my ear/lick my nose. Makes me smile and laugh every time, and I can see the

Font - Piratuslnteruptus · 15h Though my pit has had no formal training, she can detect if I am going to have a seizure in advance. When she was just a pup I noticed that her nuzzling, snoot punching, pestering me, and licking me vigorously and my auras lined up but I thought it coincidence. Over the years she has proven herself to be both consistent and accurate. There is some evidence that suggest we emit certain odors under stress, and this is what the dog picks up on. My lady friend tells me

Font - upwrdspiral · 18h Mine likes to climb on top of me and lie down on my face whenever I cry or force herself on my lap and put her face on mine. She'll also face plant herself on my belly whenever I'm cramping. I love her and I love dogs. they deserve more years. O 6 Reply t 18 3 +

Font - Tyrigoth · 12h My previous dog saw me break down after the first time my kids went to my exes house. The whole reality of the divorce I didn't want came crashing down on me and I just kind of fell over onto the lawn and didn't move. Then Oscar came out and sat next to me. He matched my breathing, kissed my face every 10 minutes, and just let me know I was going to be okay. He sat with me for five hours and then decided I had indulged my pity long enough. I stood up, brushed the ants off m

Font - Hot_Ad_7648• 6h I am glad that you are ok. We are so blessed to have our dogs. They are the best! Mine can sense my anxiety and fear, even when l'm silent about it or trying to hold it in. I have been dealing with a lot of sad things lately and somehow she just knows. She has been following me everywhere and lying next to me all day. Even when it's dinner time and l'm still in my room, she won't leave me until I get up to go eat. Dogs deserve so much more love than we can ever give them!

Font - programmerq • 10h Oh yeah, if our golden retriever thinks someone is upset, she will come and try to comfort whoever needs it. She can't tell something is up if you're quiet about it, but any sort of visible or audible emoting can attract her attention. Stub a toe and yell ouch? She'll come by.
