Delusional Mom Refuses To Attend Gender Reveal Party For Daughter's Pet Lizard

Hmm, what's that smell? Is it just us or are you guys also detecting a slight hint of 'vindictive @sshole' wafting through the air? If you don't smell it yet, we have a feeling you might after scrolling through this AITA reddit debacle. OP, aka 'Mom' we use quotes because we're not entirely sure her behavior warrants referring to her by this coveted title, refuses to go to her daughters friendly gathering only because she refers to it jokingly as a 'gender reveal party' for her pet lizard.

OP is salty that her daughter, who is asexual, is celebrating pets as if they are kids. OP finds this to be offensive, and declares that she will only come to a 'gender reveal party' when it is for a real child. Well, we find OP offensive for not respecting her daughter and rejecting her daughter's attempt to spend time with her. All because of a gender reveal party for a lizard? Come on OP, tell us why you're really mad.

    Font - Well she recently took her Skink to the vet for a checkup and she was excited to find out her Skinks gender. Afterwards I got a text asking if l'd come to her gender reveal party she was having. She explained it was just a small get together with cake and food for her friends she hasn't seen in a while with the gender reveal being mostly a joke (and a way to make fun of real gender reveals).

    Font - EDIT: In the time I was away I got many replies and it was a lot to read through. Let me clear a couple things up. 1. My issue is that she said the party was a gender reveal, if she had called it just a party I would have come.
