Dog Owners Discuss Minimizing Anxiety And Assuring Adequate Pet Care Before Travel

We pet owners know that our pets are our babies, and there are very few people we trust to give them the care and attention they deserve adequately. When push comes to shove, sometimes we need to arrange for some last-minute pet care. There are several sites where petsitters can advertise their services and pet owners scavenge through them carefully selecting whom they believe to be the best fit.

Of course, the best solution is always to bring your dogs along for some family vacation fun! Unfortunately, many airlines restrict the weight of the dogs that they allow on board, and most compassionate pet owners would rather die than have their pets ride in plane cargo. It can get pretty warm down there, and our babies deserve better accommodations than that. So what does one do when one is anxious about doggo care, but also in desperate need of a vacation? Honey, we know that with great power comes great responsibility. Having a dog can be just as anxiety-provoking as having a child sometimes. We dog owners just want the very very best for our babies and there is no shame in that. At the same time though, we are human and we do not have control of everything. Sometimes, we just have to do the best we can and trust our own intuition.

First dog jitters, sighs, we remember those days. Look, OP, we recommend doing all of the research that you possibly can on your local dog sitting facilities. Ask fellow dog-owning friends for suggestions, consult with your family, perhaps someone could be available to host your doggo while you enjoy your vacation.
