We pet owners know that our pets are our babies, but many people have another special someone in their lives that they call "baby". That's right, today we're talking about relationships. Here at I Can Has Cheezburger, we've heard enough pet horror stories to feel thar there are very few people we trust to give our pets the care and attention they deserve adequately. Our significant others are definitely on that tight list, but imagine if someone felt they couldn't trust their partner in that way?
Well, today we have the story of just that. OP, a 26-year-old woman, lives with her boyfriend of the same age, and their three pets: a 1y/o dog, a 6 year old cat, and another cat that is around 7 years old. OP has begun to worry about her boyfriend's behavior toward their pets because in her words he can get pretty "moody". She says, "If he's had a particularly stressful day and the dog isn't following commands quickly, he'll use pretty harsh language with him. Like: f-ck you, (dogs name) you're the worst dog ever, I f-cking hate you (dog), you're a piece of shit. You get the picture." Read on below, and let us know what you think in the comments.
First of all, your pets, your rules. Talk to your boyfriend about it, but also, if you aren't feeling it, than you should just break up. Life's too short to be dating someone without the same values as you.
According to OP, this issue that she has been having with her boyfriend and the way he treats her pets has "been going on for a long time. I don't have many people to go to for guidance and I love this sub so I just thought I'd see what everyone here thinks."
