Hurray! Three cheers for OP's puppy!

Font - I was staying up late in the living room to watch a live stream when out of nowhere, my 9 month old BMD started alert barking and ran towards the front door. He is my first giant breed dog and he has a very deep, echoing bark that I rarely hear.

You rarely hear it, but when you do you are thankful for its power and gusto!

Font - I heard my cam alert to movement outdoor and the other four dogs made their way from the main bedroom to the first floor. Two stood at the patio door, one was at the garage door and the other was at the front door. These adult dogs have alerted to unwelcome company before, but they only patrol the doors and growl. They don't act as real deters and I don't expect them to be. My beagle is pretty old and he can only walk slowly. My three basset hounds are so aloof that it takes a real big sc

    Fair.

Font - I went back to watch the footage and there were two huge men in front of my house. As soon as they heard my puppy's bark, they ran like the wind and got into their car. The moment the beagle no longer smelled them at the door, he went to the bed and fell back asleep. With him relaxed, the basset hounds laid down in the living room and dozed off. The puppy was pretty riled up and was pacing the house, but with his older siblings sleeping, he soon settled and fell asleep in front of the pat

Font - nderover · 2 days ago As dumb as it is, I LOVE having a German Shepherd because she looks/sounds so terrifying. I get catcalled constantly when walking alone, but as soon as I'm walking with her everyone shuts up.

Font - RattusRattus · 2 days ago Gunther, American Bulldog/Harlan, pit/boxer I had a rescue American bulldog that at 90 lbs was a house pony. We dropped him off with someone who had another American and a kid. When we pulled in to pick him up, he was doing his big deep fuck-off bark. Then he recognized the car and smiled and started a high pitched whooping. But yeah, a big deep bark is awesome. And I agree that dogs are great deterrents, but I'd never actually want them to defend me either. Big

Font - fruchtfledermaus · 2 days ago My partner and I just got our first American Bulldog. Pound rescue, looks like a show dog, and 88 Ibs when underweight...we're on steak meals and squish love until he fills back out. I call him "flower power". My partner says he'll keep me safe when hes on business trips. He's a farter, but boy is he a big'ol lover. Cant wait till we hear his real bark.

Font - misha-bear 2 days ago Dachshund owner here- yes! The bark is no joke! One of my dogs in particular has the deepest, scariest bark and howl when she's defensive. I never expected my 11 pound cutie would be such a fierce defender of my home!

Font - Apprehensive-Sky-760 · 2 days ago My families BMD also did this when someone was breaking into my dads car, scared the crap out of them. Well, both my dog, and my dad who ran out of the house in his underwear with a baseball bat after them. Sure that was freaky too
