Sharing your life with someone is no simple task. When relationships get serious, you learn the most intimate aspects of your partner's personality. And for the original poster of this delightful Reddit thread, animals are near and dear to his heart. When OP moved out of his parent's house and into his own home, he decided to adopt a ball python to join him on a journey called 'life'. He boasted about how docile the snake is and how much she loves to be held. She sounds pretty much perfect. Anyway, OP's fiance makes her way into the picture, and things take a turn as havoc is wreaked.
OP travels to another state for work and trusts his fiance to take care of the snake. So far, sounds good. This seems pretty normal, one partner goes away for work, the other partner is entrusted to take care of the pets. Until here, we're all on the same page? Yes? Yes. When OP returned from his trip, his snake and her tank were gone. Interesting. Who could have had something to do with that? Well, big surprise, it was the fiance. Her defense was saying that OP 'was giving the snake too much attention.' Okay? So you let the snake loose outside and hope for the best? Peace out, crazy lady. OP needs to set some STRICT boundaries.
Not at all, kick her out and for GOOD.
"She thought the snake was really cool and even held her a few times. A few months ago, her friends came over and ever since, she has been asking me to find a new home for the snake."
Interesting, very interesting. Why the sudden change? Huh, OP's fiance??
"When my fiance got home, I showed her the tank and told her to pack a suitcase and find another place to stay."
AMEN.
