Greetings, dog parents. As much as we hate being away from our puppers, sometimes we have to. Whether it's a work thing or a weekend getaway, we don't always get the chance to bring our hounds aboard with us. And what are we left to do? Find a dog-sitter, pawn em off to family, or find a doggy daycare.
Finding the perfect doggy daycare is no walk in the park. It can be a long and tedious process. You want to make sure that the conditions are safe, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is attending. But most of all, you want to make sure that your pupperoo is capable of being in such a chaotic environment with tens of other dogs.
This brings us to today's Reddit discussion where u/eating-lemons vents about what they claim to be an unpopular opinion; not every dog should go to doggy daycare. Users rushed to add their personal experiences with different dogs and different doggo daycares. Have a read, let us know what you think!
"…they either start fights, get overstimulated, or get extreme anxiety attacks."
Aw man, those poor pupperoos! Please, please, please first make sure that your dog is able to interact with other dogs. This sort of anxiety can cause immense trauma for your pup
"…I can guarantee that a lot of daycare owners mostly just care about money and will let almost any dog in…"
Unfortunately, this is the harsh reality we live in. Nowadays, the only thing people care about is profit. If only management would listen to lower-level workers more, we're sure they have relevant input that will ease the work process and lead to more profit.
