Dating is not what it used to be. There are different dating terms that are invented every year, and it's so hard to keep up with the latest dating term. We still feel like the term 'Netflix and Chill' is brand-new, but it goes all the way back to 2014. Time is flying, and our dating lexicon has expanded with it. The problem is that if not all of us are keeping up with the new lingo, then nobody will actually know what's going on. In an ironic twist, the more our dating vocabulary expands, the less we understand and the worse clear communication becomes. Twitter user KandonDortch posted a tweet in which he argues that the talking stage doesn't count as dating, and people had a lot to say about his concise statement. Some people tried to properly define the talking stage, whereas others argued that the definition is simply up to the people involved who just need to communicate to figure out where they stand. Scroll down for the debate.
Kandon started the conversation with this concise but clear tweet.
At the end of the day, it really is just about clear communication.
