I can't imagine being a single parent is easy. I mean, I'm a single parent to my adorable cat, but I supposed a child is slightly more work than a cat. Luckily, my cat is at the ripe age of 2 years old and still hasn't expressed any interest in going on dates. When your daughter starts growing up and going on dates, it's fair to be a little protective over her.
In this Am I The A$$hole post, OP asks if he is an a$$hole for cancelling his daughter's date because her date won't come meet him. She's pretty young, and this feels like a fair rule to me. Many argue, however, that preventing her from seeing someone will just encourage her to see him secretly and could make the whole situation less safe. So, what do you think? Should OP accept that not all of his daughter's dates want to meet him, or should his daughter accept that he's trying to keep her safe? Read below for some more context and let us know what you think.
Sounds reasonable to me!
