Dating etiquette has significantly changed over the years. Back in the day, it was a given that men would pay for dates. However, now we're living in the future, and women can pay for much more than just their own dates. Yet, because of societal norms, it's still expected that men pay for dates. There isn't one set rule in place, but many people go on dates knowing exactly who is expected to pay. In an AskMen post, men discussed how they react when women offer to split half the bill, as long as she does so genuinely. While many men saw it as a green flag, some of them said that they would still pay for the bill regardless.
