We recently stumbled upon an interesting Reddit story where a husband tells the story of how his wife is unhappy with him because he stopped putting effort into buying the perfect gifts for her. The only problem is… she returned every single gift he's ever given her and feels almost 0 remorse for it, too.
Welp, this reminded us of two things. First, the Friends episode where Rachel's friends found it impossible to shop for her because she pretty much returns everything she gets. But at least she keeps the presents from her own wish list! And second, believe it or not, but this story reminded us of the boy who cried wolf.
You see, when you continually do the same thing over and over again - at one point or another, people start to catch on. Sure, she didn't lie nor fabricate the truth (actually, we don't know that for sure), but she did continually return her gifts even though she (probably) knew it could hurt her husband's feelings. So, what did she really expect to happen???
