“Funny enough, we had a Department of the Interior lawsuit going on and had to print out every single email we ever got. It was weird.” said OP.

“She got promoted.” said OP.

“Of course she did.” said u/DJDarwin93.

“Sounds like you were damned if you did and damned if you didn’t.” said u/kayleeelizabeth.

"I just had the written letter of disciplinary reprimand for malicious compliance, did not get my $1,000 yearly bonus and that was it. I got a new boss a while later." said OP.

“Yeah. But the only discipline was that I could not get a performance bonus that year. $1,000 at stake. Big whoop. So I just shrugged it off.” said OP.

“So because of the write-up, you can be subject to lowered assessment scores, which can affect your retention status if there is a RIF. It can also be used against you if you ever seek another position in a different organization, and your eligibility for a merit promotion. A disciplanary write-up can seriously mess up future opportunities. So, pretty much a big whoop. But you do you, boo.” said u/bujoojoo.

“I had a job I loved, clients who would have supported me, etc. Had it been any more than the letter of reprimand, I would have fought it. But as it was, I had a great career for 30 years. I outlasted her idiocy as well as a few other insanely toxic bosses.” said OP.
