"When we adopted her, we were told she is pretty shy. We've put her in her own room with food, water & a litterbox so she won't have the added stress of meeting our first cat. I'd be glad for any recommondations on how to acclimate her, as she didn' drink, eat or use the litterbox so far. When I gave her a treat she ate a bit of it and I can pet her, but she clearly seems uncofortable when I do it.
I know you have to be patient, especially with shy cats, but I also don't want to reinforce her shy behaviour."
