What should you do if you find a struggling stray cat on the streets? Well, if you have a professional on speed dial, that would definitely be the ideal path. But sometimes you don't have that option right away—so what do you do? A couple of teenagers were presented with this situation and handled it as best as they could—which ended up saving this kitten's life.
A woman who works for a cat rescue often finds cats left on her porch, usually in such bad conditions that it just breaks her heart. This time, however, she had a little bit of hope. It was a regular old night, except when she went outside, she found a small struggling kitten in a cardboard box. Though the kitten looked sad, she was relieved to see that it was left safe in an open box that even had a blanket on the bottom. Though that is not ideal, it's better than nothing. But what really lifted her spirits is the desperate plea she found on her front door security footage. It was a couple of teenagers in tears begging her to help the poor kitten. They just found it on the streets and didn't know what else to do, so they brought it to her. She could tell that though these kids were frightened for the health of this kitten, they cared with all their hearts and did the best they could.
The kitten was covered in fleas, had ears filled with gunk, and a scary amount of eye puss. She was worried this cat would be blind, but with a little care and professional medical treatment, the little kitten immediately brightened up. She even expects the kitten to make a full recover and be able to see in 24 hours! Viewers are begging for an update, but we'll just have to wait—however, things are looking good for the tiny kitten, all thanks to those teens who rescued him.
