Technology and society changed a lot when the Internet came along. Here you are, scrolling on a tiny computer that fits the entire world in your pocket and we think nothing of it– imagine explaining that to a 17th century peasant! However, centuries of innovation have made some things more important, while making others more obsolete.As a society, we used to value chivalrous male suitors courting our dames in the sitting room over the course of a year before proposing and nowadays it's perfectly normal to swipe left on a stranger just because something about their selfie rubbed you the wrong way.

Values have changed with the times and so have we, but what are some of the things that our generation used to be certain would never fade away? Antivirus software used to be considered the most important thing you could do for your family computer, but now it doesn't matter. What else has fallen by the wayside? Old souls reminisce the nostalgic olden days of yore when simpler times were simpler times.
