Thinking of getting a cat? Dreaming of cuddles, purrs and wholesome moments with your potential pet to be? We get it, it is a nice little dream. A passing thought. But we are sorry to inform you that that dream is only about ten percent of the reality of being a feline pawrent. The reality is split up into food related yelling, attention related yelling, clawminal behaviour, pure random frenetic energy and then the cuddles and nice stuff. The other three categories make up ninety percent of what being a feline pawrent is really like.
So if you are still dead set on getting involved in the feline game, then you have come to just the right spot, where we will be delving into the ironic reality of owning a cat. It is ironic because you are constantly being attacked and yelled at by the most precious, perfect little fur baby in the world who you hopelessly love. Let the clawminal cat memes roll.
The two extremes of cat. In the feline world there are two schools of thought. Big chonky floofs and sleek sporty predators. We are pretty sure you can see how this plays out above. It is important you consider this when adopting. You don't want to regret the fur you will be petting and removing from your clothes for the next 12 years…
And when all will be said and done. When everyone has had their fun. When the sun will set for ever more. That is when a cat, well a cat would not really care that you are not there at all. So yeah, if you are hoping that your cat will really care about you, think again. At very best, you will be remembered as an acquaintance who fed them.
