Dog Rescue Shares Heartwarming Video of Their Longest Resident Finally Getting Adopted after 712 Days in the Shelter

• Working for an animal shelter is not easy. Sure, you get to play with sweet animals every day, get some pets in, maybe even some cuddles. But all you want to do is take every animal you find home, but you just can't. It breaks your heart when you watch these angelic creatures have to sit in an underfunded cell for years. Animals deserve love more than humans, and you won't change our minds on that. 

  So when a Canadian shelter had a dog for over 700 days, it brought them all to tears. A sweet dog named Eli had no reason to not be welcomed into a loving home and they were trying everything they could to get this baby a loving furever family. Eventually, it started to feel desperate and like it would never happen. However, after 712 days Eli finally found his people. It started as a trail at-home stay, but the family fell in love and now Eli is one of them. The shelter had no doubt that they would fall in love with Eli, because they all had too. So when this home stay was requested, they had high hopes. And they weren't disappointed because no Eli is living his best life!
