Emma Hartshorne and Wayne Kenward are the proud ownrers of 30 rabbits, many of whom are rescues, as well as chickens, horses and even alpacas.
-
They have spent thousands of dollars to pamper their 30 bunnies by giving them an Alice In Wonderland bunny-themed playground.
-
They built everything alone - from a tree-house, complete with its own bar to a giant-sized maze shaped like a rabbit.
"The only thing we didn't build was the black prison fencing that keeps predators out," Emma said to Caters News.
-
The couple tried to cut costs of the project by using reclaimed materials and hiring workers that would be willing to garden for free, with most of the work being done themselves.
-
The rabbits would get bored, just like other animals, so that's why this outdoor garden is the perfect experience for them.
-
There is no question that their bunnies are loving their new outdoor play space.
"They are going absolutely crazy with it. The new run allows all of them to go out at the same time without bumping into each other and getting into fights," Emma said.
-
Now that they have the space to grow, Emma and Wayne have already started using the space to give homes to more rabbits in need, rescuing several bunnies and bringing them to wonderland.
"You don't necessarily need a big garden to create something that the rabbits can be busy in, so we hope this will give people ideas and get their funny personality across," Emma said.
