Does a 5-year-old really need their own functioning kitchen, complete with a tiny fridge and mini pantry? My first instinct is no, they do not, but these parents make a pretty convincing argument. They claim their daughter can use her tiny kitchen whenever she wants, complete with snacks ranging from fruit to chocolate. They say her having autonomy over her snacks teaches her to have a healthy relationship with food. And it's not like she has an unlimited supply of food, either. Her parents restock her snacks every week, and once it's gone, it's gone. They argue it's taught her to ration her food and not overindulge in junk food when she gets the chance. A fair case, right? All kids are different, so I guess if it works for your kid, then who's to tell you you're wrong? Well, this mother-in-law was certainly not afraid to assert her opinion on the matter.
