The Best Marvel Memes of the Week (August 9, 2024)

Well…he's finally done it. Deadpool & Wolverine has done something that Deadpool (2016) was unable to do…usurp The Passion of the Christ (2004) as the #1 domestic box office for an R-rated movie ever! It still has Joker to pass up for International Box Office, but we'll cross that road when we get there. Anyone who says that R-rated movies can't make money clearly hasn't heard of iconic IPs like Deadpool, Batman, and The Holy Bible. In some ways, The Passion of the Christ is a superhero movie. You have to have superhuman willpower to sit all the way through it, and somehow, I did when I was 12 after watching the South Park episode about the film. Even though I haven't seen Deadpool & Wolverine yet, I'm positive it's a better movie, mostly because it probably doesn't include 90 minutes of torturing one guy.
