“Ekekekek” represents the pawdorable trilling sound cats make when they see birds outside of a window or reflections of light along a sun-soaked wall during golden hour. If you've never heard that noise before, here's a video so you can understand what I'm saying. That noise represents excitement. Yes, oftentimes they are looking at prey, but aren't we all prey to the paw-er of love? Isn't that what living is for? I'm trying really hard to defend this whole “prey” thing. Believe me when I say that trilling is one of the sweetest-sounding noises that can come out of a cat's little mouth, and if they're trilling at you, that means you've done something right.
