Mini-Thread On Tumblr Showing Just How Intelligent And Awesome Octopuses Are
We always talk about how cats are going to take over the world, and we won't stand a chance against them, but we don't mean it. Not really. It's funny because, in our heart of hearts, we know that it's a joke. It's not a joke for all animals though. There are animals out there who we truly believe would take over the world if they had opposable thumbs, and one of them is the octopus.
Octopuses are so intelligent, and yet, somehow, they are underrated at the same time. Did you know, for example, that octopuses sometimes punch fish for no reason other than spite? And did you know that a professor once roomed with an octopus and was surprised and delighted by how playful the octopus turned out to be? Oh, and were you aware of the fact that octopuses sometimes try escaping aquariums? Yeah, they do. Octopuses are crazy - crazy cool and crazy scary.
