Every Year, This Mama Duck Leads Her Babies Through a NY Hospital In The Cutest Parade
Patients at the University of Rochester Thompson Health hospital are treated to the adorable parade every year, as they wrote in this cute facebook post: "Every year, without fail, a mama duck chooses one of the enclosed courtyards at our M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center to lay her eggs and take care of her babies. She lets us know when she's ready to go by tapping on the glass, and this morning, it was time for this annual rite of spring".
Every year, mama follows the same path
Facility Services associates - one of whom said "She has us trained" - have old signage to gently guide her and her babies in case they look like they're about to get sidetracked. They head to the light from an open door at the end of the corridor.
Assistant Nurse Manager Betsy Willard held the door for the mama and her 13 babies.
The family headed out into a large park-like area behind the facility.
Patiens were excited and went outside to see the ducks off.
There they go! Good luck, guys. We'll miss you!
