Non-Federal Holiday of the Day: It's the Second Annual #UnfollowAMan Day

Ah, there's nothing like a flame war in the morning.

Today, July 28, marks the second annual #UnfollowAMan Day, begun last year by BuzzFeed News Senior Editor Katie Notopoulos. She wrote an entire article in 2014 why she decided to begin the non-Federal holiday and what it all means.

This year, she summed it up in a tweet.

ICYMI here's how #UnfollowAMan Day works: 1. Look at your follows 2. Pick a man you are siiiick of hearing 3. Unfollow!! 4. Enjoy!

Everyone on Twitter will surely take this very maturely. Or, as those sweet slackers Wayne and Garth might say: "Not."

As you can imagine, this has been quite a divisive issue.

However, it has raised a decent amount of thoughtful discourse in even large media outlets.

No matter what your feelings are on this day of days, we can all agree that there are too many people on the Internet that are terrible at communication.
