Kind Taxi-Driver Gives a Free Ride To a Family of Ducklings

Whether it's in houses, a busy city, or more dangerous, a busy highway, animals can get themselves into trouble nearly everywhere. That's exactly what this cab driver experienced on what started out as an average working day and ended completely different.

Urga Adunga is a cab driver from Calgary, Alberta who was making his usual rounds in his cab one afternoon when he saw a family of ducks stuck at a busy intersection.

The cab driver pulled over immediately and put on his hazard lights to get out of his car and help.

As he was motioning to other drivers to watch out and go around, some stopped to help him direct traffic or move the ducklings and their momma into his cab.

“I jumped out of my cab and I motioned for the oncoming traffic to pull over so I could get the animals to safety.” said Urga in an interview.

"Several drivers got out of their cars and signaled everyone to stop. Other drivers used baby carriers to hold the ducklings and put them gently put them into my cab with their mama."

He drove them to a nearby river where he let them out and they waddled down to the river and swam on their way. Adunga cleaned the seat and continued on with his workday.
