Meet Harrow. Harrow was found outdoors in South Los Angeles, after his owner passed away.

Harrow kept trying to go back to his old home where he lived with his owner, but was sadly shunned away from the new tenants.

The outdoor life isn't for everyone, and was very difficult on poor Harrow. Covered in battle scars, and his left ear withered due to infections. Thank goodness, the TNR (trap-neuter-return) rescuers of Alley Cat Rescue in Los Angeles happened to be in the area when they learned of Harrow. They immediately whisked him off the streets and into their loving care.

Harrow was then diagnosed as a "neglected cat in semi-starvation mode, low in protein, anemic, and with a severe upper respiratory infection (URI)."

Alley Cat Rescue shared with Love Meow Harrow's story, stating, "His hair was all matted and his one ear is totally mangled. He has stomatitis and his teeth are broken off. He is an intact male cat, never neutered. He has really been through the wars."

But despite of all the diagnosis, this beautiful tabby couldn't stop purring. He was so grateful to be helped and cared for.

Alley Cat Rescue continues to say, "Despite being treated so badly, he purred throughout his examination at the vet and talked to the staff in the clinic. He is here and willing to fight, so we are going to support him and fight with him."

After a few weeks of recovery, sweet Harrow was beginning to gain some weight and strength and had beaten that nasty URI.

The next step was to give him a much needed fresh start, starting with a nice clean coat. The sweet tabby rolled around purring while getting the hair cut.

"After six days of removing all of his matted hair, this gentle giant got a much needed shower. He was an angel, he loves the rubs and purred the whole way through," Alley Cat Rescue said.

Now, Harrow hangs out with a much younger crowd. After being introduced to the foster kittens at the rescue, he immediately took to them and they reciprocate that love.
