When a kind samaritan found this small one-eyed kitten on the streets of Montreal, Canada, they noticed the kitten was in pretty bad shape.
She was so small and underdeveloped, they rushed her to a local shelter, Chatons Orphelins Montréal, where they determined that her eye injury most likely caused by a predatory bird. She was roughly 3-4 weeks-old and half the size she ought to be.

Volunteer Jessica, gave the small kitten a bottle which she latched to right away.
"The kitten took to the bottle with such an appetite. It was clear that she wanted to live," Celine Crom of Chatons Orphelins Montréal shared with Love Meow.

The rescue decided to name her Souris
-
04
Here is Souris holding hands with a volunteer as she napped.
"Souris was very lucky to have survived all the injuries. We started her on antibiotics and she was finally on the mend."
-
05
Soon after, Souris went home with a foster mom and has been putting on the necessary weight for her age!
-
06
And in just a few days time, Souris was said to be bouncing around like she owned the place! Her new foster mom says, "She especially likes being wrapped in a purrito, and will fall asleep in it."
-
07
"She is fearless though a bit clumsy, running into things sometimes. Her foster mom takes her everywhere as she likes to watch and observe everything around her."
As Souris continues to grow, there is a chance she may stay small forever, but what she lacks for in size is definitely made up for tenfold in personality!
-
08
"It's a miracle that she survived it all without a mother. She is a true fighter!"

The kitten enjoys her new VIP life, napping in warm blankets, the purrito style, soaking up the love.
Wishing you a happy life, sweet purrito Souris!
