We had a sweet little 'meese (seal point) named Isis when I was a teenager, she lived to be around 15 and a half. When I was in seventh or eighth grade I got in trouble from my dad over Ellison's Love Ain't Nothing But Sex Misspelled - took me forever to explain that it was media criticism and not smut. Ray Bradbury once hit on my "grandmother-type-person" at a world SF convention back in the 70's... He tried to get her to sit on his lap! I got started on the SF early, read all the classics, especially Heinlein, even met Isaac Asimov at my first convention. I'm still reading lots in the genre but I also read mysteries and a wide variety of nonfiction... I've got a 3-5 book a week habit (minimum) so I've had to widen my net to keep the books flowing. What are you reading these days? As you can see, I'm a chatterbox, especially about cats and books, in any form!

Heya Amber! (is that a Zelazny reference or am I going too SF geek on you? lol). You are the first person to "get" Pixie's name with out any hints - it's very appropriate too... she shows up where she couldn't possibly have gotten via normal means. Thanks for the LoL compliments, I don't make many, but the ones I do make I can't help making (if you know what I mean?). Cheers!

I didnt clean I promise. We havent had any rain all week but the next three days are going to be rainy. There is a tropical feel in the air. I like to stay up late and drag myself out of bed in the morning. I have a lot of arthritis and two hip replacements so I need to keep moving. The arthritis is all from a car accident I was in when I was 26. The more I move the better i feel. Talk to you next time. Sandy

I was on a bread baking kit a while back. Every sunday morning I would mix the dough and bake later in the day. i made so much I used to give stuff away. Went shopping today and noticed car needs cleaning inside and out. Just couldnt do it Im to tired. I used to be very good with keeping the car clean. Maybe with the next storm ill leave the windows down. Have a great back to work day after a long weekend. Kitty hugs Sandy

I took lessons from Winnie, Major Malfunction and DyannLynn. If they can take what I hand out, I can revel in the fact that they are buried at the bottom of my lol where they belong.

I am sure the political trolls will try to eat me alive...That's okay. I grew new parts after the last time they tried.

Thats why I like Christmas baking: sugar, flour, chocolate, butter, nuts yum. I think you can substitute chocolate for brocolli and get the same antioxident benefits. Sandy

Fanks. Yeah..like the one who stands there and watches her kid throw up before EVERY single show...the producers of that show clearly have no empathy with those people...they just present it and let you make your own judgments...but you can tell they KNOW how horrible the parents are by what they include in the episodes...or i should say "most" of them..there are some kids who seem to genuinely love it to death who actually drive their parents to do it for them...and more power to them...i guess they're the ones the pageants are meant for...but the stage moms vicariously "being" beautiful through pimpin out their daughters...pathetic.

Thanks, I need all the help I can get! LOL!! Funnily enough I chose the planet (Valt Minor) because the episode of The Next Generation was titled "The Perfect Mate". (I thought it was rather appropriate for the pic, and I wanted a name that people would link to the "What happens in Vegas" ads. The look on Carrie Fisher face was what inspired that one just led me straight to that caption.) (Sorry for getting so detailed, a bad habit of mine.)

Judy, For some reason I thought she was much younger. I only have one daughter myself. If I tell you how old she is you will know how old I am. Lets keep the Hurricanes away. I have a network of cheesefriends on the east coast now I have you. We all banded together to keep each safe from Irene.Have a great weekend without snow. Sandy
