Luke still likes the slapstick side of things like on AMV, but he doesn't like the ones where it looks like someone got seriously hurt. I don't really find most of the videos funny, but when he gets laughing it makes me laugh but I think moreso by association. I do like some of the things on the Comix section of memebase. I find that most of the things in that section that I find to be funny are things I associate with my younger brother. He and I are pretty close, one of those situations where alot of times we finish eachothers thoughts. I just try to ignore the things I don't care for on here and stick to the pages where I find things I actually find funny :)

Alot of people actually have commented on the "things that are doing it" saying that it's pointless and stupid. But there will, unfortunately, always be people who say 'hey look there's two childrens toys stacked on top of one another in a store, lets take a picture of it'. To each their own I guess. I'm just glad that they at least *try* to keep certian things in the After Dark sections. I saw a couple of videos on failblog where someone smashes/smacks their head into either a brick wall or concrete, those I don't find funny because that person probably got seriously injured, and if they showed the aftermath very very few people if any would find it humorous.

Good morning, hope you're having a good day today. I'm sure you probably noticed, but they came out with another meme collectible set. Oy

Sounds peaceful :) I live fairly close to O'hare airport, so there's quite a bit of noise all hours of the day and night. I'm so used to it though that it's strange to not hear planes going by. Bet it was nice to take a nap in the sunshine though, makes me wish for spring even more.

Glad to see you got back safely :) Yeah, I just barely survived the weekend lol. Sorry to hear about the lack of snow, if it was going to be miserably cold it could have at least snowed a little for ya. It was pretty cruddy here too, all weekend it was cloudy with a fine mist of moisture in the air. It was Just warm enough for it to be a very cold rain, bleh. We were going to take my car to the car wash, but the weather wasn't cooperating... I guess it's a good thing though because I had to drop some financial aid papers off for my younger brother this morning and the rain had iced over last night so my car would have just gotten salt all over it again. Looking forward to tomorrow, 43 degrees and sunny. Now if I can only remember to take the antenna off before going through the car wash I'll be set, last time it bent at almost a 90 degree angle lol. Hopefully the weather didn't mess up your weekend out too much, and here's hoping it warms up for you soon.

Good afternoon. I just wanted to stop by and say hello and I hope that today is a little more uneventful for you at work. In case my weekend gets crazy here's hoping you have a great one :)

I think after this winter we will all be growing fruit trees, vegetables and herbs in our homes! lol

Oh geez well now I feel like an oaf lol. Quality Assurance doesn't sound too fun, add on being the head of quality assurance and it sounds like a royal pain. Now I can really see why you needed/were happy about that three day weekend.

lol yet? Do they come into your office and mess it up often? That has to be aggrivating. That reminds me of an irrelevant yet similar situation I had once with my older brother. I was out visiting Luke and he was an exercise buff (to a fault really, he still is). He brought this one machine he had into my room and used it on my bedroom floor, much to my amazement when I came back and my whole room was now piled up into half of it. From that point until literally a couple weeks ago before my mom got new carpeting in there the floor squeaked like you wouldn't believe. I just wish I had the common sense to know it was the nails in the plywood that were loose, Luke put new screws in them and no more dreaded squeaking. Sorry maybe that's completely different, I just hadn't thought about that in a while hehe. I didn't like -30 at all, and I was really confused as to why they kept the college open that day. I'm just glad that we didn't have a bigger blizzard this year... my mom said the year my grandpa died (it still makes me sad I never got to meet him, God rest his soul) this was in 79', they had an even bigger blizzard. From that point on she hated snow, I think from a combonation of the blizzard and his passing. Anyways I'm going off on a tangent when I really should be walking or doing something, I've been an utter lazy bum lately :\

Mornin' sir :) At least it warms up during the day there. I remember the first year I started going to college on campus (I went to a 2 year community college) one of the days it was a wind chill of -30, and you felt every bit of that chill. At the time my car wasn't what it is now, but it was rusty and trusty and started right up (thankfully). Still took a long time to get out of the lot though, because it had to warm up before the windows would defog. In the probably 8th of a mile walk to my car I thought my nose was going to fall off lol. So I'm ok with the 20's and even the teens, I just can't wait for it to warm up a bit so I can spend more time outside. Hope you're having a good day.

They keep saying nasty weather is going to hit. Well, for about 5 minutes at a time is all, lol! Pup and I spent a half hour on the back porch soaking up the sun this afternoon. It felt great!

Aw thank ya :) That does seem suprisingly cold for your area. It's 33 here now, the high tomorrow is 28 and snow.... then more snow saturday, sunday, and monday. Luckily though by this time it doesn't tend to drop significantly in temperature, 28 is the lowest high of the week, lowest low is supposed to be 19. We had a couple days where it got to 49 then 59 one day, people were out in t-shirts lol. This winter has been a strange one though, not too many accumulation days (maybe 2 where we had to break out the snow blower) but then we had that one huge blizzard.

Good afternoon (or morning still where you're at). Just dropping by to say hello, I saw on the weather last night that Oregon and Washington were supposed to get hit with the most snowfall to date (the record before was 1.4"). It looked like very upstate Cali was in the white zone as well, but I just caught the last bit of it. Hopefully you're having a great day, boring here today.... but in two days it's my birthday... which means my mom's going to make a huge deal of it. God love her she's wonderful, but sometimes a bit over the top hehe. The good part is we get to go out to dinner this year... which is a rare occurance due to a lack of fundage around here, but even on my birthday it makes me feel guilty :\

I came over to check to see if I had some collectible to give you, lololol. You are good at this!

I'm really glad to hear that you got your rain, and it's even better that it happened at just the right time! I hope you do have a good grass year, by the sounds of it you will. It's always a bit strange to hear about places like where you're at (it's the same in parts of Kentucky so I've heard of it before) where just a little snow will close businesses and schools. But now I understand better why that as after reading your post. I hadn't really put too much thought into the fact that they're just not prepared for it, let alone armed to the teeth like we are lol. Around here there has to be 8 inches of snow for the schools to close, and this year's blizzard was the first one where businesses actuallly closed, and even then the bigger ones stayed open but had a skeleton crew (the local grocery store had 8-10 employees working that day, usually there's 20+). Even then it wasn't the snow on the road keeping people home, it was that they couldn't get out of their driveways until they spent most of the day shoveling. Chopping wood is actually fun sometimes, but good for releasing tension all the time :) I've done it upstate at Luke's dad's place... which reminds me we need to buy him a new axe since his is getting wobbly. Oh, I'm not sure if I told you but when we had that blizzard we actually got thunder snow... first time I've ever seen it and it was really amazing, we sat by the window most of the night watching for it. Happy to hear you had a nice long weekend, and here's hoping this week is great for you as well. Thanks for all the kind words!

*tough not touch, had quite the evening last night lol. Here's what I wrote MoS: I had an interesting night to say the least. Sometime around 6:30pm it started to sleet, and literally every surface was covered in ice (including the roads). Well me and Luke had to go out, so we took his car and went to the store. I kept feeling sick because there were a TON of accidents, one of which required an ambulance, because people weren't being as cautious as they should have been. So we're on our way back (it wasn't a long trip) and were supposed to go to another store, we're waiting to turn right and *THUMP* got hit from behind. Luke has a 94 Cutlass Supreme which is just a beat around car, we bought it knowing it needed an engine which he swapped for one from a junk yard, and the body we know is far from perfect. It's funny though how no matter what your first reaction is anger... so we stopped and I got out of the car first and by the time I was out of the car I wasn't mad at all anymore. The lady was driving a 95(ish) Honda Del Sol (2 seater 2 door small honda), looked to be in her 60's and immediately got out and was apologizing saying she hit her brakes and it didn't stop. Well she ran into the right people (no pun intended), she didn't crack Luke's bumper but knocked a bit of paint off. I was sad to see she cracked a turn signal lense and cracked her front bumper, and had to be reassured no less than 3 times that she was ok (it was maybe a 5mph impact but she was a smaller lady so I wanted to make sure). She said she was at fault so she should give us her insurance to pay for his bumper paint, in the end she gave us her info and I gave her Luke's name and cell # and told her not to bother to call in insurance unless she wanted to (after finding out she wasn't worried about the cosmetics on her car). So we told her this summer if she hasn't had it fixed by then to give us a call and me and Luke will go to a junk yard and pick her up a lense and he'll put it in. The only 'casualty' was that I cut my finger trying to get her turn signal straight again so the cops don't give her trouble. As for Luke's bumper it'll get the spray paint treatment this summer (or he'll just leave it as he puts it "as a battle scar"). I thought that was an interesting experience, and I hope that she's OK and feels better knowing we not only didn't mind, but offered to help her :)
