Yes, you asked me if my sister liked my book. She and I were the ones who got so har-har about it all.

I was just on the phone with her and we were laughing so hard we were cryin'. I mean, fallin' down! She got caught up in the first part of the book and when I reminded her about the MIDDLE and the LATE MIDDLE parts, we howled.

Very...I am the down to earth one and my sister is the futuristic one. She has read all the books. I am going to see her tomorrow and tell her your theory. I know she will like it. Don't worry, she'll never write a book in this lifetime. Like me, she prefers to read them.

No, it is just more private. You could email me if you wanted. Sometimes when you do open messages like this, people could steal your ideas. Just trying to help.

I'm all ears. I like to hear what people are writing about. Why don't you ask to be my friend on facebook and send me a private message. That way, not everybody is looking at it. I am Carol Piner...feel free to respond on facebook. You can say more

I adore that photo you use. As for my age, I don't act it either. Don't intend to either.

I know nothing about teenlink, being 63. There's gotta be a better way. Have you set up a facebook page for it?

Ok, what do you need me to do to help? Try formatting it to a 6x9 which is what most books are. You don't have to save it that way, but it'll gibe you a general idea how many pages it is.

I hope difficult doesn't mean sexual. I can only take so much at 63. I am ok with sexual content but not with something that it as the main theme and is dredged throughout a book. Lanuguage is ok, though.

Why don't we start with Animal since it's first. Let me know what it is about. Do you have a cover?

That's ok, Pick one you have the most faith in. Ya gotta start somewhere or they will just pile up and you'll brood about your reluctance to go all the way

If you are ready, I can walk you through publishing for free at Lulu.com. Advice: have your own cover; therefore you own the rights to your complete book. If you let me know what it's about, maybe I can help with a cover.

I was scared to ride a bike again after not doing it for twenty years, so I can understand being scared when you've had a really bad experience. Maybe practice a little up and down a driveway or something? Easier said than done, I know. You know how they say that if you fall off a horse, get right back on? I saw Cirque du Soleil in 1983. They were just a tiny circus then in a little tent. The tightrope was only fifteen feet up, and the tightrope walker fell off twice. But she got back up each time and everyone adored her....we gave her a standing ovation. She just glowed. Later she came out as a ballerina, dancing with a French clown,

I think juggling is just beautiful. Years ago, I could juggle three tennis balls but I seem to have lost the touch. ... I used to do a lot of gymnastics and I'll never forget the feeling when I first "stood up" from a backbend .... you know, putting all your weight on your feet and just pushing off the floor with your hands. I'd been trying for months, and I think I was trying too hard, because when I finally got disgusted with myself and though, "oh well, whatever, weight is on my feet, here goes," I finally did it. It felt like a miracle.

I love your attitude, and the expression "swim like a dolphin." My problem with some physical things is that I have really weak ankles. In Canada, children have to ice skate at school, and I had a really hard time. Same with skis! (Plus I'm a klutz.) I am learning to knit though -- never thought I could do that!

I've wiped out on a bike, on rollerblades, on skates .... so I've never tried skis! I don't think the odds would be very good!

Well, that's how I envy you, Aragog. I am usually working on only one or two things, and if I get a mental block I just have to give up til I have a breakthrough. But you have any number of other things you are writing that you can take on in the meantime. .... I have friends who sometimes take a break from all writing, though. They need to go out and just live through other things, and forget writing for a while. Then when they go back to it they are totally refreshed.

Sometimes I take a break from my writing .... put it away and look at it a few weeks later. Sometimes it seems a lot different--I can see lots of things to fix, or I'm surprised at what is better than I'd thought. Either way, it seems NEW, rather than that thing that's been interfering with and dominating my life, if you know what I mean. Then again, I've never had more than two stories or books on the go, which I'm sure makes it easier to concentrate on just one.
