I'm from west Iowa - a little town called Harlan. We moved to NE when I was 11. CO is the best of all - if only there was a good college football team. Unpacking only feels good when it's all done. :o)

I taught elementary school for 33 years, and some days, especially after bus duty or a parent conference, I felt like I was in the "big house"! I know what you mean about those days when everything is due, and nobody cuts you any slack on completing projects. Good luck. I'll say a little prayer for you. Hi Crabby Tabby (It seems rude to just say Crabby.). I have heard of Iowa City. My brother drove semis and worked for a company out of there a couple of years ago. I think it's where that big truck stop is. What are you back in school for? Oh, my goodness, I just realized how that sounded. It sounded almost like asking someone what they were back in jail for! Ohai, CrabbyTabby! Thx for the friend request. To sillybrate, I sent you a dial up modem, butt(!) since it's so slow, it could take a while to get to you. My kittehs also came from a shelter, and they are such a delight. I also have a grandkitteh. :-)

Hi. Thank you for accepting my request. I saw that our birthdays are so close and being Geminis I knew we could have a great deal in common. One of my favorite great-aunts was a June 12th lady. Where are you in Iowa? I have relatives in Windsor Heights and Clive. They are my cousin's children. They try to visit here in Tennessee at least once a year. They are young, and I don't travel anymore, too many responsibilities with my rescue dogs and cats and no one to take care of them if I am away! I like to give collectibles, too, but I will trade if forced to to complete a set for myself or a friend.Great to meet you. wally01 (Linda)

Hi Crabby Tabby Thanks for the friends request. I love your screen name. Most of our pets, past and present, were found in parking lots and one found me. Shady, the siamese showed up on my deck and we fed him outside for three months. Christmas Eve he came in and stayed- that was five years ago.Ive always had a tabby. Rocky (my pic) was found in a parking lot at the age of 6 months and he was very crabby. That was about three weeks before Shady showed up. We had lost two kitties to illness three weeks apart. They must have sent these two guys to us. Ill check and see if I have any collectibles you need. Kitty Hugs Sandy

Oh! Fankies, fankies and more fankies for all the collectibles! I and the hubby have been on vacation...at the SEA! We saw seals, surfers, dolphins and ate much too much.
