Saskatchewan is actually really big. I live right near the North Dakota border, so I'm not near all of the mineral deposits. But around our city they've found tons of oil - actually the largest deposit outside of Saudi Arabia, but we've seen the fiasco our neighbours in Alberta have made with their oil sands so our government is trying to find a more environmental way to extract the oil. Since I manage a group home for people with disabilities, the oil so far has NO impact on my life lol!

Gators would be terrifying! The worst we've got are coyotes and they're not as clever as the one on Road Runner lol! Most Saskatchewan authors are poets and I'm not into poetry, so besides required reading way back in school, I don't read Saskatchewan stuff.

Take it in stride. Just make more. You should see my votes when I get on the Bros page. I feel like I need to visit the E.R. if I look at my votes there. After a while, it gets amusing. Some of the lolz that really crack me up that I favorite has like 2 cheezburgers (after hundreds of votes). So we all definitely have different sensibilities...sometimes we match up, sometimes we don't.

Agree about the cute pictures of kitteh R.D.A. I'm on here some days and other not, so I gotcha on that. The political stuff can divide people but most people seem to be pretty tolerant on the differences. I think there's a general understanding that if a joke is funny and not mean-spirited (or some worse thing) that it's fair game. Although partisan LOLz often get voted down pretty low.

Oh it actually can get really hot here. Summer often sits around 95 but we can get 120 - 130 heat waves sometimes. One year I took the kids to California to get AWAY from the heat lol! Winter gets very cold too, generally sitting around -15 but hitting -40 for a snap nearly every winter month. And we don't actually have spring or summer, just cold and snow or horrible heat. We don't have any mountains, hardly any trees, no large bodies of water, just flat prairie in an area the size of western Europe. Right now we're the economic powerhouse of Canada because of all of our potash, gold, oil and diamonds, which were all discovered in the last little while. Despite all of these exploitation opportunities, Saskatchewan is still a very boring place to live. That's probably why we churn out so many authors lol!

Oh, it's cool. Some do lolspeak for messages and others don't. Sorry for delay in responding...wasn't on a few days. Cheers!

Aw, thanks! And I gotta say, I got a real kick out of your Texas Rain Gauge. I live in Saskatchewan - farm land for miles. And we're very prone to drought, it totally seemed like something we'd see here! lol

How's the persistent pain in the %%% cold coming along? Drinking lots of hot toddies with honey, i hope"? My area is so confused - a week of 50s and some 60s has my tulip and cherry blossoms already out :-O. usual temps are 30s about now. Summer will be a real bear with no mosquitoes or bees being knocked off this season. I really hope we get another snowmageddon to fix that! or a winning lottery ticket to leave ...either one....LOL
