I'm hangin' in there. I've had so many highs and lows this past fortnight you'd think I was the world wide weather. I'm packin' to move, we are moving a scant 2.5 miles down the road. But it seems much farther considering it's just the hubby, the kids and me as movers, using my little Ford Ranger. Needless to say there is much colorful language to be heard from all parties.

OMG! I have found myself in "dry" counties in Texas...I sat down after driving for 2 days to have dinner and a beer (I really needed that beer, or 4) and (it was Shamrock) the waitress gave me the "I'm sorry hunny, this is a dry county" I first of all, didn't know what the hell she was talking about...Then I got up and left and drove to a "wet" county! What do you do? I mean, I can go without drinking for months, but when I need a drink, I NEED a damn drink! I'll watch the news, you stand behind the CNN reporter holding a cheeseburger and waving! OK? I'm unemployed too...I'm whoring everything I can lay hands on ..On ebay! Go to the thrift stores and find all that good Texas junk they can't get overseas! (you actually can make some decent $$) But the "buyers" are not all that! Some are great, some are total jackasses! Oh...You definitely have to have kids...They have to learn how to swear from "professionals" (Mine did!) {{hugs}}

JA and I had lunch today at a little place called Philly Ted's - the best cheesesteaks I've had outside of Philly proper, and they have hands-down the best fries EVAR. I ate them all; none for Mort, too bad, so sad! And yes, I think their was a companion book, but they are soooo old, finding a copy now would be unlikely - which is why I take such good care of the copy I have. Fun stuff. (BTW, aren't ALL cats a little neurotic?!)

While he may have missed out on the chips, Mort was treated to his very own (small) order of unsalted Wendy's fries the other night...which is good, because those things aren't really fit for human consumption anyway. Hmm, must think on that book idea, it just might work. One of the best-loved tomes in my library is a little paperback titled, "How to Live With a Neurotic Dog." It's too cute for words. How you doing?

Oh, I appreciate the concern, but that's Gramawags (sp?) that isn't feeling well. I'm doing just fine...working like crazy to get my balcony all pretty with plants & flowers. I'm okay...just wishing I had a housekeeper or something to help me spring clean! I hate to clean, but hate dirty even worse!
