Porter Robinson's Shelter Gets the Anime Treatment

So we're super late on this one, I guess it never occurred to post this here, despite my love for Porter.
It's rare that I get to combine my love of electronic music and geek culture.
Trust me on this one, this animation is beautiful.

Those who know of Porter will know that he has never been shy about his love for anime. Now he brings us an anime short film, which serves as an extended music video for his collaboration with Madeon, Shelter.

This short film made along with A-1 Pictures & Crunchyroll is breathtaking. Porter and Madeon's world building and visual direction never disappoints.

The video's story follows a girl named Rin.

From the video's description:
"Shelter tells the story of Rin, a 17-year-old girl who lives her life inside of a futuristic simulation completely by herself in infinite, beautiful loneliness. Each day, Rin awakens in virtual reality and uses a tablet which controls the simulation to create a new, different, beautiful world for herself. Until one day, everything changes, and Rin comes to learn the true origins behind her life inside a simulation."

This film serves as the basis of the visuals for Porter and Madeon's Shelter live tour, and if you aren't familiar with Porter's live worlds show, it's a surreal experience.
