Virtual reality communication company AltspaceVR wants to up the nerd-factor in your next D&D session with v20, a social software allowing you and your digital friends to use Oculus Rift headsets to play D&D around a virtual table.
It seems pretty counter-intuitive for a game about imagination, but this software lets you, by means of avatars, feel like you're sitting at a table in real life with your friends. There are loads of 2D options out there if you're looking for a way to virtually play D&D, but only this one will let you do it in 3D.
The software has been endorsed by Wizards of the Coast, and a commercial build is expected to be released in 2016.
