Baby fever is real. You can go your whole life not thinking babies are cute, and then see one video of a baby hearing his mother's voice for the first time (using a hearing aid) and suddenly you're roaming the halls of Buy Buy Baby, picking up little socks just to feel something. It happens to the strongest of us.
But the delusions of baby fever and the realities of raising children are different things indeed. When you have baby fever, you dream of holding a little squishy guy in your arms, playing with him and generally feeling beloved. I'm sure actual parenthood is some amount of this too, but with a lot more changing diapers and cleaning spit-up and wondering when you're clean the maternity pants you've been wearing for a couple of days. But that doesn't stop dreamers from dreaming. These tweets, though, these tweets know what it's like on the other side.
