Glad to hear that you made it through! As I'm sure you could tell, I was joking about global warming. I don't believe in that, but cyclical global climate change. But, as long as the kitties had some space to run around and you could get out for work, it's all good! :)

Yes, it IS difficult losing a pet. But, in Muffin's case, he was better off being put to sleep, rather than continuing to suffer. That's a painful decision to make, but sometimes you have to make it. The storm left a couple of inches of snow, so it didn't get much worse than it already was here. Hope you enjoy your day off, though, with all the shoveling, it's not going to be very pleasant.

The weather this winter has been pretty wild! We're expecting a couple of inches of snow, because the storm is passing south of Chicago, which isn't uncommon this time of year. Fortunately, I have nowhere to go tomorrow, so I don't have to deal with the snow. I know what you're talking about with the feral cat. Another tenant in my building traps feral cats for Animal Control and she's been worried about how the cats survive in the cold weather. Cats will curl up together for heat in this weather, but when it's below zero, it makes you wonder how they survive! I personally don't own a cat right now. I grew up with a cat, named Muffin, who came down with lung cancer about 10 years ago. It was a sad thing when he was suffering, so when my parents put him to sleep, I was relieved.
