This season of The Walking Dead started off hard and brutal, but since has been struggling to hold a candle to the opening. It's been hampered with strange writing choices and a general lack of occurrence. Thankfully, the season finale has been the 2nd best of the season and gives us hope going into the latter half.
Watching Negan dispatch Spencer in a nod to the comics was brutally satisfying and a reminder that he is not to be trifled with. The saddest casualty though, was Negan's beard.
Tonight The Walking Dead finally saw some movement in its plot and, in a welcome change, finally ditched the bewildering writing decision to only follow one character.
Instead this episode followed several subplots and in all honesty may have gone too far the other way, becoming muddled in some instances.
Regardless, we got some great Negan lines this week. We also got to watch Carl continue to screw things up for everyone else in spectacular fashion.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been under the spotlight for his role as Negan in the Walking Dead, fans are split on how they feel about the character himself, fans seem to be able to agree on one thing, he's damn attractive.
"It's mostly women who I get really weird fan mail from," Morgan said. "Like, they just want to be, I don't know, gagged and tied up and beat on a little bit."
