Eat. Drink. Adopt: At The World's First Tap House You Can Drink Beer And Adopt a Foster Dog

  At Fido's, you can grab a great meal while spending time with some adorable rescue pups and maybe even give them a new shot at life.

  The bar was created by Scott Porter, an absolute dog lover… Scott "tapped" his creative mind and 20+ years of entrepreneurship to create The World's First Dog Tap House dedicated to helping dogs in need.

  Mission: Finding them forever homes

  Fido's is partnered with the rescue group Oregon Friends Of Shelter Animals, OFOSA, whose mission is to "save as many homeless adoptable animals as humanly possible, restore them to health, and find them loving forever homes".

  Special dog room

  The bar usually has 4-8 adoptable dogs on-site that come from OFOSA. Dog lovers can come play with the dogs in the bar's "dog room" and can also apply to adopt a dog. It costs 4$ for a 30-minute play session with the pups, and the money is put towards covering costs and supporting charities.

  Anyone who is interested in adopting one of the dogs will need to comply with two requirements:

   First, they will need to apply for a short waiting period to make sure they want and able to adopt. Second, they will need to bring their family to meet the dog and make sure they have a good fit.

  So far, over 70 dogs have been adopted through Fido's.
