Welp. It's official. Mythic Quest is logging off for good after four seasons, and honestly? I'm not taking it well.
Apple TV+ just announced the show won't be coming back for a fifth season. Which, okay, maybe not entirely shocking since Season 4 kind of snuck in without much fanfare—but still. I loved this show. A comedy about game devs that managed to be smart, chaotic, surprisingly emotional, and filled with characters that felt both absurd and painfully real? That's not easy to pull off.
The good news? We're not ending with a cliffhanger and a vague "maybe one day we'll return" energy. Rob McElhenney and the gang got Apple's blessing to update the final episode with a new ending, so instead of just cutting to black, we'll actually get a proper goodbye. The revised finale drops next week, and you can bet I'll be watching it through tears and pixelated nostalgia.
To the whole cast and crew—thanks for the laughs, the feels, and for making us care this much about a fake video game. You made something special. And to Mythic Quest fans everywhere: GG, friends. GG.
