Remember when we said Oblivion was coming? Well guess what—it's here, it's real, and it looks way better than any 20-year-old game has any right to. Bethesda just dropped the remake like a Daedric fireball at the end of their livestream with those four magical words: "It is out today." And just like that, the Game Pass logo popped up, and I was already halfway to my Xbox like a madman sprinting from Kvatch.
The game looks incredible in Unreal Engine 5. It's the Oblivion you remember—those weird faces, that iconic music, the over-the-top voice acting—but with smoother mechanics, revamped systems, and a polish that makes it feel like a whole new realm to get lost in.
If you've never played it before, now is the perfect time to experience the game that let you close Oblivion gates, punch ghosts, and accidentally become the head of every guild in under 48 hours. If you have played it before? Prepare to lose sleep all over again.
It's available right now on Xbox Game Pass. Go. Download it. The gates are open.
