Good news, fellow wastelanders: Fallout Season 2 has officially wrapped production, which means two very important things. One, we're getting closer to returning to our favorite irradiated hellscape. And two, Walton Goggins is free. Free to remove the inch-thick Ghoul prosthetics. Free to blink without latex cracking. Free to smile—and oh boy, he really earned that smile.
Amazon's Fallout series absolutely floored me when it dropped back in April 2024. I mean, it nailed the vibe. The world-building, the twisted sense of humor, the brutal lore, even the gunplay—it all felt like someone dumped 500 hours of gameplay into a blender and somehow turned it into prestige television. I loved every minute of it. Apparently I'm not alone: it won two Emmys, was one of the most-watched shows of the year, and made everyone reinstall New Vegas for the fifth time.
Speaking of which—Season 2 is taking us to New Vegas, as teased in the finale. Since then, leaked set photos and teaser crumbs have kept the hype alive. And now, the official Fallout account has confirmed it: "Achievement unlocked! Fallout Season 2 has wrapped production." They even included a short video of Goggins peeling off his Ghoul makeup like a man shedding trauma. It's gross. It's beautiful. It's Fallout.
Ella Purnell (Lucy) also posted a behind-the-scenes selfie with Kyle MacLachlan (her in-universe dad, dream casting forever), and I'm not going to lie—I would 100% cover myself in irradiated goo just to be part of that crew for a day.
No release date yet, but don't expect it before early 2026. Which gives us plenty of time to replay Fallout 3, argue about factions on Reddit, and rewatch Season 1 while whispering "War… war never changes" to our reflection.
