Happy 30th birthday to PlayStation! Three decades of iconic consoles, legendary games, and millions of fans begging for one simple thing: Bloodborne Remastered. So naturally, Sony listened… and gave us… a book. With… pictures in it.
That's right. It's called PlayStation: The First 30 Years - a big, glossy, 400-page hardcover filled with behind-the-scenes prototypes, concept art, and design sketches from the PS1 through today. It looks beautiful. It costs $325. And no, it does not come with a hidden Bloodborne disc tucked inside the binding.
But hey, it's not just a book. They also announced a collab with Reebok: three pairs of retro PlayStation-inspired sneakers, each themed around a different launch region. The U.S. gets the Pump Omni Zone II, Japan gets the InstaPump Fury 94, and the U.K. gets the Workout Plus. They drop in October, come in console-themed packaging, and look surprisingly cool - like something Cloud Strife would wear to a 2002 LAN party.
So no remasters, no ports, no Bloodborne 60fps mode. But we did get a fashion collab and a really expensive coffee table centerpiece. Congrats, PlayStation. You're connection to your fanbase is unmatched. Next time can we have commemorative plates please?
