I don't like being that person, but come on, Disney.
As someone who has spent an embarrassing amount of time (and money) chasing that Disney magic - who still tears up when the castle lights up and is still excited to take a selfie with Minnie - this one stings.
Disney just announced that ticket prices for Disneyland and Disney World are going up again. Not gradually. Not gently. Just up. Some single-day passes are now hitting $224 during the holidays. A family of four during Christmas? That's nearly $900 just to walk in the gate - no snacks, no Genie+, no churros included.
Magic Key passes? Also going up. The top-tier Inspire Key now costs $1,899. That's… rent. That's a month of groceries. That's a lightsaber, a droid, and a couple of therapy sessions to process it all.
I get it. Supply and demand. Peak dates. The "full day of experiences" marketing copy. But it's becoming harder and harder to believe that this is still "for everyone." It's starting to feel like a gated castle for the lucky few who can afford it.
I'll always love Disney. But the question is - can I still afford to?
