The Upside Down is almost back, just not all at once.
Netflix has confirmed that Stranger Things season 5 will drop in stages, with a special early premiere sneak peek arriving ahead of the full rollout. The final season officially begins November 26, 2025, with more episodes landing through December, and a five-minute preview hitting Netflix on November 7 during a global fan event.
This is Netflix doing what it does best - turning waiting into marketing. Instead of dropping everything at once, they're building an event out of it.
The fifth and final season jumps to 1987, bringing back the usual Hawkins crew - Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, and the rest of the teens-turned-trauma-veterans, plus newcomer Linda Hamilton, because of course you need The Terminator when things get apocalyptic.
No story details yet, but the Duffer Brothers have called this the "most emotional season" and hinted that not everyone's making it out alive.
Netflix clearly wants Stranger Things to end as more than a binge - they're giving it the slow-burn, watercooler treatment it deserves.
If you've been counting down since Vecna's last creepy monologue, mark your calendar. Hawkins opens for one last horror-soaked ride this November
